May 2010: A Letter to the President of the Republic
En ce qui concerne ton passage sur l’amiante, je pense que
les ouvriers voient une opportunité de se faire de l’argent
sur une grosse boite, car je suis bien placée pour savoir
qu’à leur âge, on ne meurt pas d’avoir
été en contact avec l’amiante dans un environnement
malgré tout protégé comme chez Alsthom.
Mon père (74 ans) qui a commencé à travailler
à 14 ans en plomberie a été en contact direct
avec l’amiante durant des années, portant et travaillant
avec des tuyaux en amiante. Effectivement il a une ombre sur les
poumons, mais comme il a travaillé pour des petites sociétés,
on n’en fait pas tout un « buzz » (j’ai
horreur de ce mot).
La France devient malheureusement comme les USA à chercher
à incriminer les gens qui vous ont nourri durant des années
uniquement pour du fric. Je ne supporte pas cette façon d’être.
Chaque métier comporte un risque et soit on l’accepte
soit on change de métier !
Le prochain procès sera le tien car j’ai mal au poignet
à force de taper sur les touches de l’ordinateur pour
faire ton business !!! So stupid !
C’est normal de penser que l’on va vers une destruction
des fondamentaux, je dois être une rare personne avec toi
à ne pas être assistée, à assumer mes
choix, quels qu’ils soient et quelles qu’en soient les
conséquences.
J’en ai vraiment marre de ces gens qui se plaignent sans cesse
et qui essayent de porter la faute sur les autres en prenant un
peu d’argent au passage.Désolée Lynne, mais
je ne supporte plus les gens, tous ces tire au I am shocked this
evening because I just watched on TV the news about football in
priority but not the 4 french kids died in Afganistan, it’s
a shame.

Dear Lynne,
It certainly is a different flavour. I've just come back from Britiain
where the Political twisting and turning is - just what you'd expect.
Lib dems with high ideals but not enough votes to carry them out
in the coalition government of Dave Cameron and Nick Clegg. One
day Cam is calling Clegg a political joke, next day they're doing
PR shows of their budding love affair. Clegg is having to U turn
on all the things he ran for (no university tuition fees please,
fairness on immigration in different regions) as the Tories squash
such lofty ideals and bring us back to good old Conservatism. Jobs
for the boys, intolerance of gays, women and other minorities, spending
cuts but massive tax breaks for our foreign investors. A belief
in trickle down pay, where you give the chief execs of big Cos a
huge wedge of money and trust their good nature to distribute it
well down the ranks, has rarely proved right. The Conservatives
said Britain wanted change. In fact, it was Maggie Thatcher who
initiated the neo-liberalism and all the short term greed that implies,
Blair and Brown who carried it on while increasing state spending,
and now we're back to the slick Tories again. Where's the change
apart from cutbacks?
Shouldn't grumble though. It's surely better to have some level
of debate between the Lib Dems and the Cons (Condems!) than just
the smug Tories. I am just wondering what the best country to live
in now would be. Perhaps Spain?

enfants... c'est pire pour eux.
Bon, je retourne travailler puisqu'il faut quand même assurer
en attendant la compréhension du Président et les virements
sur nos comptes en berne.
