August 2008: Birthday Deserts

D'une pâtissière à une gourmande, merci! Encore un petit morceau de poésie lu en ce retour de voyage où j'avais oublié internet.
A la semaine prochaine,

-Pascale

Dear Lynne,

A simply delicious piece of literature, as tasty in French as in English. I peeled with laughter reading it again and again.

Thank you for this lovely and tasty summer Heartlines ... and happy birthday to you dear Lynne.

-Marie France

PS: By the way I could not believe the figure you mentioned - it does not match your looks. I hope I'll look that gorgeous in a few years time. Will fine food, deep prayers and great love do the trick?

Dear Lynne
I admire your imagination! Fancy anyone doing such a de-structured thing!!!
I wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY lighted by ghost candles…

Kisses,

-Lydie

Good morning Lynne and I wish you many happy returns.
Kind thoughts

-Craig

Bonjour Lynne et merci pour ces Heartlines qui me permettent de te souhaiter un bon anniversaire dignement fêté par ce prodigieux dessert !

-FM

Dear Lynne,

Thank you for this mid summer message. I still wonder: “how was the destructured pie?”

I can put your story in parallel to a recent episode with a client of mine. The group I coach had produced with many difficulties a short list of actions they’d take to change a non satisfying situation. The list was intended to be published. On the one hand it had been difficult to agree on such a list, and they were satisfied to have produced something; on the other hand, the result was not satisfactory because as such it did not really mean anything, a bit like your “tarte destructurée” was a gathering of a crust and filing in a unexpected jar. Once they’ve worked on the meaning of the actions and found out what these actions actually mean, a bit like your waiter giving sense to the content of the plate, the level of satisfaction rose and many of the subsequent steps became clearer.
Have a good summer.
See you.

-Martine

Dearest Lynne,

Finally I am starting to catch up with my emails and usually I keep the best, like the desert, unstructured or structured, for the end. This is self fooling trick to make myself go quicker through what is seems to me boring and must do’s. BUT I could not resist starting with your email.

You make me think - and I might be just too over exhausted or just not intelligent enough to move forward in my thinking. However what I know for sure is that you got me hyper in using such a refreshing pink background with a jar of strawberries and it is makes me so happy that the cat was there to accompany the Lady to be celebrated! No matter how interested the cat was or not in the structure of the unstructured! My heart and love go to you to wish you a delayed HAPPY REFRESHING Birthday

-Tini

Bon anniversaire Lynne
et en réponse à ton bocal (!), je serais tentée de te dire :...."qu'importe le flacon pourvu qu'on ait l'ivresse...!!" (Alfred de Musset)

-Catherine

Happy Birthday Lynne,
and many happy returns of the day.

All the best
-Karin

Thank to your newsletter I’ve heard of our birthday.
So happy birthday from Italy too.

-Luca
