Seasonal soul labs

Two day events run at the Vedantic Centre of learning in Gretz under the direction of its spiritual head and president, Swami Veetamohananda.

Coaches at any level of professional experience are invited to dedicate two days once per season to their personal and spiritual development. Each Soul Lab is complete in itself and is designed in accordance with the nature of the season. Spring is a time of renewal; Summer, a time to pause; Autumn, a time of change; Winter, a time of darkness and an imperceptible suspension before the return towards the light.

These two day events run at the Vedantic Centre of learning in Gretz under the direction of its spiritual head and president, Swami Veetamohananda. The Centre has long been a place of inter-religious dialogue and a centre for the study and practice of all the main branches of Yoga (Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Jnana Yoga and Raja Yoga) The yoga postural practice and meditation practices best known in the West come from the Raja Yoga branch of Yoga.

Swami Veetamohananda has been my spiritual guide since 1993 when I completed my yoga dissertation and three years of training to become a recognized yoga teacher under the direction of Shri Mahesh.

I have long understood that the coaching posture that we seek as professionals is, for me, clearly an expression of an alignment of mind, body and soul and this does not occur by magic. Over many years of asana practice and meditation I begin to experience that inner peace and clarity of thought whilst working with clients. I would like my fellow coaches to have access to a place of wisdom and guidance. This desire has lead me to create these Soul Labs after experimenting for two years of bringing yoga and coaching together in Paris, I now see that it is far more beneficial to take people to the source and let them drink for themselves.

During each of the two days I create 4 workshops around the seasonal theme. Each workshop asks two or three fundamental questions. Participants are sent these questions in advance. All my own experience as a Clean Coach and facilitator is placed in service of these questions during each workshop. Participants are guided towards their own answers and discoveries through the processes created specifically for the needs and desires of the people attending.

I usually share the facilitation of the Summer Soul Lab with a colleague or colleagues who have a specific skill that complements their own coaching and facilitation skills. The 2016 Summer Soul Lab was co run with Kris Harbert Hamon, a TRAGER expert.
